About the event

Devcon is the Ethereum Foundation’s flagship developer conference, bringing together core protocol developers, researchers, founders, and the wider Ethereum community for several days of talks, workshops, and side events. The 2026 edition, Devcon 8, takes place in Mumbai – the event’s first visit to South Asia.

Sessions typically cover protocol research, scaling and rollups, account abstraction, zero-knowledge proofs, and real-world applications built on Ethereum, alongside a large expo area and a busy calendar of community-run side events across the host city that week.

Devcon skews more technical than most crypto conferences, drawing client teams, researchers, security auditors, and application developers rather than a trading or investor-focused crowd – it’s one of the more substantive events on the annual crypto calendar.
