In the vast universe of blockchain tech, where the promise of decentralization continues to thrive with myriad DApps, comes a unique project that defies the ordinary. Its name? zkSync. Already taking the crypto realm by storm, zkSync seems destined to peak at the digital heavens.
The reason behind the massive promise of zkSync Era is the much-awaited yet unconfirmed zkSync Era airdrop.
But what is zkSync, truly? What of the recent Binance airdrop, an event hinting at a forthcoming ZKS airdrop? Our journey begins here, at the event horizon of curiosity.
What is zkSync?
Ethereum is a galaxy of Dapps, DeFI protocols, NFT projects, and gaming applications. Yet, this massive blockchain strains under the weight of continuously increasing demand. The elixir of success in a blockchain like Ethereum would be scalability—but it’s lacking. Because of this scaling weakness, zkSync emerged, opening a more prominent platform of success for Ethereum.
zkSync is a zero-knowledge-focused blockchain layer-2 solution built especially for Ethereum. The L2 thrives because it uses ZKPs to bring scalability to Ethereum’s universe.
On its website, zkSync notes that its primary mission is to bolster Ethereum’s throughput while preserving foundational values like self-sovereignty, decentralization, and freedom.
In essence, there is a massive growing demand for blockchain-related services. However, large service providers like Ethereum need more scalability to meet demand. Scalability is essential for blockchain to reach actual adoption.
What Are zkSync’s Features?
So, what are the primary features of this layer-2 scaling solution? Well, there are a few, including:
- Hyper Scalability—Unlike most L2 solutions, zkSync provides hyper scalability.
- Security—zkSync boasts the capability to bring robust security to its users. In essence, this layer inherits 100% security from the Ethereum chain. However, the L2 developers are committed to making this platform the most secure solution in the Ethereumverse.
- Proper UX—With a mission to onboard a billion users, zkSync combines an intuitive, delightful, and secure user experience. The entire development of this project considered the end user first.
Binance-zkSync Airdrop Announcement
On Monday, April 15, 2024, the Binance network announced an airdrop to send traffic to zkSync. According to reports, the airdrop is mainly focused on celebrating the integration of Binance Wallet into zkSync.
The Binance airdrop event began on the 15th and will end on April 28. The network aims to distribute about $80K worth of USDT tokens to contest winners.
What Tasks Must Every Participant Complete?
Of course, like in any crypto airdrop, you only secure a small share once you complete a set of predetermined tasks. So, what is the catch for the zkSync-focused airdrop?
Well, as per Binance’s statement, the tasks are separated into four different categories. They include:
On-Chain Swap Task
Requirements:
- This task demands that the participant hold at least $100 worth of USDC, wstETH, or USDC on the zkSync Era Chain. It would help if you also had some ETH as gas charges.
- Complete at least one on-chain swap using Syncswap, with a minimum of $100. It would help if you used the qualified trading pairs. The $100 swap must be in a single transaction.
Once the contest closes, 400 selected users will split 20k USDT as rewards. This suggests that each user might get at least $50 USDT.
In Wallet Cross Chain Swap Task
Two thousand users who will win this contest will share $20 thousand worth of USDT equally. Requirements:
- You must have at least $10 worth of any token in any chain that is not zkSync Era, plus the needed gas fee.
- You can swap the token you hold into USDC (zkSync Era) by leveraging the Binance wallet’s in-wallet swap option.
Liquidity Provision Task
Requirements:
- For this task, you must have at least $10 in ETH, USDT, Dai Stablecoin, LUSD, USDC.e, or WBTC on the zkSync chain and some ETH on the zkSYnc Era chain to aid in gas fee settlements.
- Supply $10 worth of collateral to Zerolend on any chain.
Winners in this contest will share in the USDT pool’s $20k. The reward each receives will be proportional to the total amount of collateral supplied by each qualified user.
Finally, Daily Login Task
Another task set that everyone ought to complete is visiting the Moody Madness game’s desktop web page. You should connect the Binance Web3 wallet and complete the tutorial race.
You will collect a “daily login” XP token reward. So, how do you qualify for the contest?
You must complete at least one daily login task. Once the campaign closes, Binance will select 200 users based on their wallet addresses matched with the zkSync Era block hash. The rewards will be 20k USDT.
Is this a Set-up for the ZKS Airdrop?
Well, the news from the Binance network stirred up a vast chain of reactions from the crypto community, especially from the enthusiasts of zkSync. The recent Binance airdrop connected to the zkSync network and related projects could be a set-up for a much larger airdrop, the ZKS drop.
What makes investors believe this?
Yes, of course; as already discussed, Binance announced an event with USDT rewards to send people to zkSync-related projects. The last time Binance conducted a similar event was with Polyhedra in February.
- Immediately following the campaign, Polyhedra dawned its own $ZK token in March. This is the first similarity with what is happening with the zkSync project. As such, many anticipate an airdrop following the conclusion of the Binance-focused event.
- After a previous airdrop by Arbitrum, Andrew Saunders, the project’s CMO, left and joined Hashflow. At the end of April, Seb, a key leader in zkSync, will leave the project to start their own.
- A recent post by Alex G, the founder of zkSync, noted that the project belongs to the community. This suggests that more decentralization is near. What better way to decentralize everything than to actually
The points mentioned above are well-known with the zkSync community and suggest that a possible airdrop for ZKS will be coming soon.
Others in the crypto space have even suggested to have gotten insider information about the $ZKS airdrop.
What Can You Do To Increase Chances of Getting a ZKS Airdrop?
Everyone has a theory on how to earn the rumored yet highly awaited $ZKS airdrops.
First, participate in the event organized by Binance for the $80K USDT airdrop. However, many airdrop hunters have listed several ways to improve the chances of farming airdrops. They include:
- Start/continue bridging assets from Ethereum and other chains into the zkSync Era L2. This increases the TVL and establishes you as a loyal fan. Among the assets you can bridge from Ethereum to zkSync are USDT, USDC and ETH.
- Use zkSync-based applications like zkSync Name Service, SyncSwap, zkSync id, Zerolend, and Nexon Finance.
The Potential of ZKS!
Does ZKS have the potential to be a top-class token? Well, Yes!
As a product of zkSync, ZKS could attract a large market within a short period. How?
Well, zkSync Era was first presented in 2021. However, the mainnet opened to all users on March 24, 2023. Since then, the zkSync network has seen massive traction, with thousands of new users and investors.
By July, only about three months after its full release, zkSync’s TVL had peaked at $739.4 million. In the ensuing months, it took a minor dump, plunging to $398 million before recording an even higher value of $876 million.
The network has seen a sudden increase in the number of projects launching on its chain, including SyncSwap and Zerolend. Gaming tokens and meme projects are also increasingly launching on top of the zkSync network.
zkSync developers are also continually developing new upgrades to make the L2 service provider even more attractive.
All the above, plus the strong community, make zkSync a project with super high potential. If a token comes soon, the community will readily accept it, and its prices will surge.
